Materials & care
Concrete Mixx products by Urbia are composed of natural materials: granite stone powder, Portland cement, natural jute fibers and water. Urbia finishes its concrete with a water-based acrylic surface sealer, which provides a protective barrier in both interior and exterior environments. The UV resistant sealer is non-yellowing and protects against water and chloride intrusion while permitting moisture in the concrete to escape.
How to use
Repairing chips or cracks in Mixx products:
- Mix a portion of concrete powder with water to create a dough-like paste (3:1 - 4:1 ratio).
- Dampen the area to be repaired with a wet wash cloth or brush.
- Use a soft spatula to apply cement paste to broken area and smooth out.
- After 8 hours of drying time, the area can be lightly sanded with fine grain sand paper until the finish is smooth.
- Wax the area with paraffin-based sealer.
